room acoustics: The bare walls exibited reverb with a bit too much in the way of boxy character (standing waves).

notes: While the minister was very supportive and enthusiastic of our work and provided keys for off hours use the room itself had too much character of its own. Fortunately though for this session the text suggests the speaker is standing at a podium in a small hall giving a speech. So the room sound worked after all.
