Session Notes
session date: 20030925 music addition released 20081201 the recording: The Little Match Girl
LocationThe Center for Contemporary Arts Warehouse, Santa Fe NM room type: Concrete and rock wall with concrete floor. room dimensions: 150x50x25 room acoustics: Very strong but not unpleasant reverb with slow decay, slightly diffused by the presence of wooden bleachers and a few standing stage flats. notes: This warehouse used to be where the Santa Fe Armory once repaired their tanks or something like that. I remember seeing bulk-loads of high voltage wires just dangling from the ceiling uncapped. The room was, now that I think of it, way too live with reverb to attempt to record a humble little audio book in, but at the time I thought it was pretty cool and being one our first recordings it was really the only place I had available. Henning Hoffman later added music. Our thanks to him. |
